I think the underlying problem which Max points out is the problem of hatred which stems from pride, arrogance, historical prejudice, and both in the caucasian and asian communities.

The problem between cultures does not exist because of perceived differences alone, but rather with commonalities such as indifference, ignorance, and prejudice...traits which are very prominent in this generation of immigrants as well as American bred folks!

I felt surprise and sad when I read Mr. Max Karson' opinion.
I am 65 years old Japanese man living near Tokyo city.
Though my english and knowledge are poor I decided to sent this comment.
Needless to say , each person has own character based on race ,culture,
religion, history, social environment and so on. The diversity should not produce the feeling of hate and contempt. this diversity must be the most valuable food to create each person'life more more wonderful .
In order to get this wonderful life , let talk joyfully about any things showing respect to each other'character without prejudice.
I hope the existence of an organization that promote the discussion and lead to fruitful results.
Frankly speaking I'd like to enjoy the
talk drinking nice whiskey.
